This is misleading because most of its users think RA is like an emulator and it is the holy grail of emulation.while it s not.Īnd yes, gaming consoles are underrated, they don t have enough power as is, but they run games that are not supposed to run even at 10fps. I don t expect much from this, but don t mislead my words, i like the idea behind RA, i only think they are handling this in the wrong way.įrom what i read, RA is a multimedia app, ie emulators are just addons and not the main features of RA, that s why the approach seems wrong.

The problem is that RA is not, and will never be, good on a console because it will never have full support and hwa (that is the most important thing)Īlso i think that adding as much devices as possible to RA will only increase its code without a real gain for anyone.

Retroarch ps2 update#
To quote developer about the new features in this update the developer states "there is a few new features to play with other than 4.89 support, like some memory patching options including HAN, memory dumping, extended system information details and syscon error logs. There have been various changes in v1.2004 but the much anticipated File Manager & xRegistry Editor will still be rolled out in a future update that will arrive soon after some theming issue's are sorted. However in that time period a Russian Scene site had found someone else's re-implementation (they forget to mention that) and patched worked together a toolset that looked like the real thing but it was hardly bguerville's original toolset nor did it offered the safety/quality or feature set of the real release. So instead of making various updates, one to support 4.89 and one for v1.2 new feature's it made sense for the project to have one testing session and release in a single update for 4.89 but that meant it a bit of delay for the deployment since proper testing needed to be conducted with v1.2 features. Now back to the official toolset update, behind the scene's prior to the 4.89 update the v1.2 update was near deployment. Now for those experienced CFW user's they knew they should wait and NOT UPDATE when a new firmware update goes live as those user's simply just waited for Evilnat's 4.89 Cobra CFW to be released.
Retroarch ps2 install#
libretroįollowing the firmware update of 4.89 the scene was awaiting an update to bguerville's PS3 Toolset so that CFW capable console who may of updated to 4.89 (or jailbreaking for the first time) can run the exploit and once again and be able to install CFW from 4.89.

Color correction still need to be applied. This time we can see how QuickNes core for # RetroArch is running in a PS2. Turning back to the # ps2development I have done a huge advance. QuickNes core running with color correction applied, sound still need to be implemented.

Colors need adjustment but so far it has been a huge step after replace the unstable method in the libc for PS2SDK.
